Разработчики добавили в игру новую фракцию Dwarves (гномы), состоящую из мужественных воинов и адептов древней магии. Населяют Dwarves самые опасные регионы Ашана, в основном их дома расположены в горах. Также нам будут представлены: абсолютно новая кампания, состоящая из 5 огромных карт и 15 продолжительных миссий, новые герои, владеющие разнообразными заклинаниями и способностями, улучшенные cut-scenes и т.п.
Nival Interactive добавила в игру различные типы строений, новые артефакты и еще больше монстров. Также на последней пресс-конференции разработчики заявили о значительных улучшениях в игровой механике и геймплее, а также о наличии развитой системы случайной генерации карт.
